Hill to Harbour 10k race

so this was the scenery whilst running. It was a small race, prob 200 runners/walkers. My time: 49min.......there were pacers who held a banner of their timing. The 50min guy was way ahead of me, so i sort of gave up doing under 50min, and just did what i could.

Also, there were these 2 girls, one was 10yr, another maybe 12yr....who were infront of me!!! but they were dressed so pro....sports bra with racing bottom(like 2 piece swimsuit). Anyway, when I saw them infront of me, I kept concoling myself that maybe there was a kids event(5km maybe??). BUT there wasn't! so after 7km, I finally overtook them, and was so scared i would slow down and they overtake me. In the end, they finished abt a minute behind me. 50min for a 10yr old girl!! well done!

and it was nice finishing, with the announcer mentioning my name, and that I was from Singapore. Well, actually abit embarrassed, cos if i came in 1st, then i would been proud. but not now.

These are pics of the very young girl whom I think did 50min for 10k.........she looks so happy and pain-free.....I was breathing so hard and wishing it would end soon.
