Saturday
woke up at 5.30am to go cycling with the girls cycle gp. They are named "ken and the Barbies" cos coach steve is the only guy amongst this gp of mothers/ single women. I found out cos at Gloria Jeans after the cycle(where we normally hang out for a coffee after the easy ride), Kimmy was giving out Christmas Party invitations. The card front was a picture of Brabie! I asked Kimmy why she had to give it so early, and she replied" got to get in early".....wow, sounds a tad bit like kiasuism here....except its for a Christmas party. so sad, wont be here then, so catn go to the party:(
the ride out to the farms was so much easier with a gp. We were going slow and I felt frustrated my heart rate was only 130. But was just happy to be with this gp. On ourway back, some girls started racing a bit, I followed and over took. They immediately gave me a nick, "pamela stamina". haha. It was just a bit of a surge...so i don't think it counts. Also on the way back, rode past this pink cockatoo that was stranded on the road....I wanted to stop but the others kept going....some said" its only a cockatoo...." But Jo and Kimmy turned round, and I decided to after a while. Kimmy even took off her cycling jersey(exposing her sports bra) to catch the cockatoo and moved it by the side of the road. She said she would later drive back , pick it up and call the number for injured animals. So nice of her! before they decided on that, Jo asked," do u want to kill it?" She once hit a duck while driving on the roads, the duck was badly injured, so to put it out of its pain, she wrung its neck. I can never do that. Its the practice here that if you find an animal badly injured on the road, the best thing u can do is to put it out of its misery. So, this cockatoo could not fly, had a bleeding eye and was only a baby.
Sunday
woke up at 9am, went for a 40km cycle and was so frustrated goininto the headwind. cycling alone, i just wanted to stop. SO i cut short my ride and turned around early. coming back was so fun, going at 30km/h on this flat road with no traffic lights, farms to my left and right.
Then thought i would eat healthy for the day but visited Tharini and she baked choc muffins. So she offered me that with ice cream! darn!
