so australia day here is a public hol. so happens to be 1st day of chinese new year. but no one here really celebrates cny. so went to my church fren's house party. aussie tradition to have a bbq and listen to a particular radio station(that is heard australia-wide) top 100 songs....heard that there would be fireworks in town in the evening. so arranged to meet the same unch of church frens in town at nite to watch. really bad weather. very very foggy, so not too many pple came out. and the pic does not do the fireworks justice. i have poor photog skills plus the mist was just not helping as well. but compared to singapore, not crowded at all, parking was easy- right at the beach. was standing so close to the source of the fireworks.
this is the bucnh of aussie church frens i went out with. the guy on my left, is also called muscle man. he is half phillippino, half aussie. so cool rite! and he works in the air force. here, they call it the RAFT(royal air force someting....)and the my far left is anna and cameron. they are geting married at the end of feb. going to their wedding!! my first wedding of a friend, is of an aussie friend!
happy i woke up this morn for a short ride- only an hour. cycled round the horse race course, a 3km loop that cyclist nomally go to cos its free of traffic. nite ran/walk for an hour in some areas of total darkness....my mistake to try to take the short cuts. cos its was so dark i knew that its unsafe, esp at 9pm! was praying so hard as i slowly walked in the dark.
GOT TO STUDY now.... tmw sitting in paeds clinics for the whole day.
